I need some clarification for SEO terms ?

What is mean by spider? Why we are using website? What is advantages of spider?

What is spider?
These are also known as a bot, robot, or crawler. Spiders are programs used by a search engine to explore the World Wide Web in an automated manner and download the HTML content (not including graphics) from web sites, strip out whatever it considers superfluous and redundant out of the HTML, and store the rest in a database (i.e. its index).

Why use website?
To reach online users to sell your product/service and to reach online users to provide the information. In simple it depends on what you want to communicate using website.

Advantages of spider?
When spider crawls(read each page following the links on each page) your website your website pages will get indexed in search engines. When your website pages are indexed your website will be shown in search engines if the keywords used in search engine matches your content. But this is not easy because of so much of information (available online). For this your website needs to be optimized well and you should promote it well.

There is much to discuss, but time is the main constrain for me so had to cut short
